I'm having a very big problem with my 91 ranger right now. I'm having a very large power drain somewhere in the truck. I leave the truck sittin for 2 days straight and it wont start. At first we thought it was the battery cuz when we took it into the shop, they said it was shorted out. So we took it back to schucks where we bought it and they said its a fine battery. So they charged it up, we took it back to the shop, put it in the truck, started it right up. Took the truck home, next morning, the truck wont start. Won't click, wont do a thing. I'm wondering if its something wrong with the truck itself...alternator...something. any ideas?

To check for a dead short, unhook your negative battery cable and connect a test light between the post and the cable. From there, start removing fuses one by one, when the light goes out, you've found the short. Keep in mind that some accessories, like your horn, lights, etc, will still work with the key off so disregard those.
