I have a 2001 Ford Taurus SES V6 with SOHC. It has 94000 miles. Runs awesome and performs like new. The problems I've been having is with suspension though. I just had all 4 struts and mounts replaced because there is a clanking coming from the front end. Sort of like a knocking whenever I go over bumps. And now that I replaced all the struts it's still there. In addition when I go over bumps at higher speeds the car is not stable, it sort of sways left to right or vica versa while going over bumps. Any idea what it might be causing it? What should I do? My other problem is that when I had the struts replace my mechanic mentioned told me that the rear coil spring is cracked and from research i found out that this a continous problem. I'm afraid of purchasing the same springs....are there any good aftermarket coil springs that I can put rather than those? I can't find anything good. I'd rather put some kind of performance product for a great comfortable ride. Can anyone suggest anything? I appreciate your help. Thank you!
