I'm new to Escorts and bought a '93 with the 1.9L that was cheap cause it'll need a clutch soon. The Haynes manual says to lower the trans out....as it is heavy. I'm wondering if anyone out there has pulled one out from the top....like I did with an '87 Honda Civic. That trans was pretty small and I pulled it out by my lonesome with no problem. Anyone out there worked on both?
