Quick question. I have a 2000 ranger 4x4 3.0. I made the mistake of letting my wife drive my truck while I was away for a few months and now its broken. I put it into reverse and nothing. When I put it into drive it starts to move but is sluggish and there is no power. I put it into nuetral and it will not even roll backwards. I tried pulling it backwards and the rear wheels are locked. Its about to go to the shop but I was wondering what I am looking at.

Chack your rear brakes.....The rear drums are know to have moisture issues, and particularly if parked for extended periods the pads swell and I have had a rivited pad separate from the shoe and had to drill out and knock the shoes out of the other (sat on dealer lot from May 06 to August 06 mileage 64k at thanksgiving 06 had to replace both drums, shoes , and hardware due to the problems I mentioned.
