ok, i changed my standard guage cluster to a sport cluster and all worked well, then the spedo gained speed(spring on the inside broke) so i changed it then after re-assembly i noticed that i had no fuel guage...... so i take it all apart and test the guage and it works fine but it still reads empty on a full tank. i changed the regulator(common failure point) and it worked for about 20seconds then returned to E.....i soon discovered that a ground wasnt working on the cluster(there are 7) so i repaired it but it still didnt work. after half an hour of testing i discovered that it needs to be a positve lead not a ground???? but it worked and well for a couple days. since then all ive done to it was change the fuel filter behind the engine now all i have to do to start my car is put my foot down on the clutch, no keys required. the only real problem is in shifting gears....it tries to start a running engine....please help its a 91 second gen with 1.9l sefi(edis)mpfi

1prob,
You most have brought 12V in from cluster to the clutch safety switch and starter switch at start position. Look at fig 10, at the B/DBL wire M/T side (manuel trans)
