My hubby installed new vinyl on the dash of our 1956 TBird. He did not install the chrome between the dash and windshield. Now the vinyl is pulling away. Does the chrome hold it in place? Or maybe we need more adhesive. Anyone know? Thanks.

The adhesive holds it for the most part. Maybe the chrome partially. It takes a certain skill to sniff that much glue and lay a whole deal on right the first time. I'm suprised you couldn't just buy a new dash pad. It's been so long I actually can't remember how they assemble but I swear you should be able to remove the pad. Geez. Maybe I am getting old.
