I have lowered my LX and now the steering shaft is too short.  I have read that this may be due to collapsing part of the steering column.  If this is the case how do I correct this problem?

The offset bushings should raise the rack in the frame not lower it. Not sure what year you have but there may be a pinch bolt on the lower steering shaft near where the shaft goes through the firewall in the engine compartment that can be loosened to allow the shaft to extend or retract a little
