SBarone -> 67 Ford Fairlane- Need Help (12/12/2007 1:42:09 PM)

I have a 67 Ford Fairlane it doesn't have the original motor in it though, the previous owner put in a 302 from a 72 mustang. The problem I'm having is, when I try to start it I'm getting a rapid clicking that seems to be coming from the starter relay (solenoid maybe?) and it won't turn over to start. I had a friend who's a mechanic, just starting, and he said the ground circuit isn't being completed. Today I cleaned the wires to the battery, and wires to the relay. Thier were grounds going from the battery to the block, and a ground from the starter to the firewall. I cleaned both of them as best I could. Should there be anymore to look for? And is there a way I can wire it to check for myself, make my own ground lines? Now I know I probably have a headache infront of me since I don't know exactly how the pervious person installed it, but my guess would be he did it the fastest and easiest way possible. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
