I swapped engines out of a '94 Probe2.0L DOHC and put in the same engine from a '93 Mazda MX6. I had to swap distributors, now the Probe won't start. I put the timing pointer on the "T" on the timing cover after rolling the engine over and felling for compression, then lined the rotor up to point to the #1 terminal on the cap. I have no spark at all. I have 12v to the coil and ignition module. I removed the ign. mod. and had it tested at Autozone-it's ok. Is there a good way to know that I'm at TDC? Also, if I am off 180 degrees, will there be spark or no? Any ideas?

The car will crank but not start. i think the timming is off because it was runnning but it was rough. so i put a new catylic converter on it now it won't start. any ideas. I work at a ford dealer now so i'll talk to some of the mechanic
