Hi everyone,

I have a 91 Thunderbird with the automatic seatbelts.  Recently the seatbelt has stopped working.  It is stuck in the foreward position on the track, so that it currently is not functional.  I removed some of the interior pannels on the car to see if I could access the mechanism, but couldn't find the problem.  Has anyone had any experience with these.  I really don't care if I can get it working or not.  I would be happy if I could just slide the mechanism from its current foreward position to the rear position (where it would normally be when driving). Then I could just manually connect the belt whe driving.  I am probably getting a new car in about 4-6 months, and don't want to spend the money to replace the whole unit.

You probably have a limit switch out on the belt.  It tells the module if it is in the forward or rear stop of the trac.
