Greedy Greeners "Auto Makers"

I was searching for the most economical car out there in the market but what i found was uneasy.  There is a car out there that can run 45 miles per gallon.  The only thing is that that vehicle cost $22,000.  The people that are interested in buying an economical car cant afford it and the ones that can afford have no desire for it.  Auto makers know they can make a lot of money if they lower the price on a single vehicle but they also know that if they lower the price other concept cars will cease to exist. The cars that cost $10,000-$15,000 i think they should bring down the price to $7,000-$10,000. Auto makers know that if they start making durable parts, and reliable cars there wont be a need to buy a car every 5 years. 

A 25% discount from the total purchace of a vehicle sounds reasnable to me due to the dire times the find our selfs in.

If all vehicles were cheapened up they would likely come off the assembly lines unsafe, not to mention the many jobs that would have to be cut to make it happen. No offense - but you're nuts. I like jobs being available in my area of work and two dollars don't build nothing. If companies didn't pay workers that know something I'd hate to see how much crap could roll off the assembly lines then. Not to mention - just because they replace people with robots does not mean the robots don't also need maintenance. Honestly - the average person saving one paycheck for one year would likely be driving a new car for the next few years minimum. Why not bitch about car insurance companies - they're the ones making a new car purchase more impossible and less cost efficient every day. Then take a look at the rising fuel prices. The more you complain the cars aren't cheap enough the cheaper crap you'll see. It's not the manufacturers problem you don't want to complain to the ones that need to hear it: insurance and oil companies.

Hmmm... bringing down car prices is quite possible.

What I also fear is the quality. I don't think they'll be that safe. I probably won't take the risk of riding in one too if there's any.
