Considering buying one. A few questions:
1. The speedometer needle drops past the stop point and almost goes straight down. Anyone know where to find a replacement or how to fix this?
2. I have to depress the brake peddle almost to the floor to get the unit to stop. Any ideas? Master cylinder?
3. He wants $1890 for it. Too much? The body and interior is in great shape. Missing the 4 wheel drive shifter nob anyone know where to get replacement part?
4. Its an automatic and when I shift down into drive the needle doest move up on the console? Any ideas as to how to fix this or how much?

Thanks

well the price dont sound real bad in this area, as far as parts if you dont want to go new try the wrecking yard, the shifter needle not aligning up is a broken cable on the indicater. you can get the whole assy at Ford there cheap an takes about 30 minutes to install . Might take u a bit longer if u never changed one , on the 4x4 knob also get u a new one of those its common for them to come off with age, an the brake issue yes could be the master cyl , could also be the rear brakes way outta adjustment, good luck , these are very minor problems over all. les hope u dont need a major brake job
