Hi All.

I just bought an 01 XLT V6, but I don't have it in my posession yet, and I have 2 questions:

first, what is the rating for the factory trailer hitch?  i know towing capacity is 3500, but what is max tongue weight?

secondly, i noticed when i test drove the car that the roof wont shut by itself, i had to push it forwards then up to get it to close.  but it opens fine.  any one know what the problem is without me taking down the headliner?

thanks

I have no clue about the roof problem. But as for towing I think its around 500-600lbs on the tongue. I do know a military trailer is loaded not to exceed 200lbs on the tongue, (back in the late 80's) The better the balance on the load, the easier it is to lift and move it around to get on the ball.
