OK, here's what's been going on with my car..............about three months ago my 93 Escort LX 1.9L started acting up. In the mornings when it was cold, it would fire right up then die...the only way I could get her to stay started was to keep the rpm's up to about 2500 until she warmed up all the way. then she drove like a dream....I could even go to town...go in the store and be in there for a couple of hours and she would start right back up when I decided to leave. Only when the engine got real cold again would she need warming again. Then one day....right at my driveway.....she died..................I barely got her in my driveway and off the road. She has been dead ever since. She will try, but won't turn over. I hear the fuel pump and the starter soleniod working.

This is what I've checked, replaced, etc.:
Replaced spark plugs and wires
Replaced fuel injectors
Replaced fuel pressure regulator
Replaced IAC
Replaced crankshaft position sensor
Replaced TPS
Checked fuel pump...it's good
Checked starter...it's good
Replaced Ignition coil pack and module
Checked battery...recharged fully
No vaccuum leaks
Fuel cutout switch is the way it's supposed to be
There is gas in the car
Tryed to check diagnostic codes with a CREADER but got nothing
Timing belt is good

Crap..there may be more but my list is at home and I'm at work.

Can anyone help please????!!!!! It's our only transportation...our borrowed truck is fixing to play out and I've got to get it fixed!!

Thanks, Gina

Have you run a compression test on the cylinders? No compression means no cranking.

Also have you checked your O2 sensor and made sure your battery is still functioning?

pull it out and make sure it's not broken and cleaned. If it's not functioning then the ecu won't know how much air/fuel to pump in to keep the right mixture.

I have the same type vehicle but mine is a 1997. Do you own a Haynes Repair Manual? If not, you can pick one up at your local VIP or Car Parts Place. This will help you a lot. Also about the just dying part. Mine did the same and after I replaced the Alternator and belts she still would not go. I was in a panic but after reading the manual I tried the Main Fuse which is under the hood. This is what got my girl back up and running. Good Luck
