I just replaced both rear brake lines, drums, cylinders, hardware kits, & shoes. The adjusters were in very good shape. I cleaned up the backing plate. The brake pedal is a little soft. I may have some air in the front lines. Here's the problem; I'm hearing a click or knock noise coming from the right rear. I pulled it all apart and checked things over. Nothing seems to be wrong but I still get that noise. It's only when I brake. The harder I push the pedal the more pronounced the sound. It's like a loud click or soft knock that slows down as the van reduces speed. The parking brake works good. I experimented with the parking brake; going real slow I pulled the parking brake real easy and get the same noise as I get with the brake pedal. Any idea what it could be?

does in only make this noise while moving or does it also do it while stationary? is it a high pitched click or more of a thud? is it a constant occurence? if it does when your not moving it could just be your adjuster doing its job. if it does it whilst moving and they're not properly adjusted your shoes could be bouncing off the drums while braking. the only other thing i could think of is... the friction surface clean and free of debris, gouges, grooves, and chips? i know you just replaced them so there shouldn't be. are you positive you got it back to together right? simply a spring in front of another where it should be behind can cause problems... hmmmnn... puzzling. wish i could test drive it.
