I have an 03 expedition. 25,000 miles on it. I saw on the ford site a list of when to do mainteance. It says 30,000 miles to do a transmission fluid and probably filter change. Is this correct because I thought a normal time would be around 60,000 miles. Not that its any problem for me to do this its just that everything else is the 100,000 mile replace, like the plugs, antifreeze etc... I do everything myself and is it just a normal pan, just loosen all the bolts and unbolt the filter, and replace. I rarely get under the thing only to do oil changes so I cant remember what it looks like. Or should I be safe just swapping out the fluid and waiting on the filter later, probably in 10 years seeing how many miles I have on it now.
