i have a freestar 2005 while driving speedo stopped working odometer shows dash dash dash etc. ABS and brake light comes on trans alxe light blinks also while all this happening the intereor lights won,t come on when you open the door. runs fine shifts fine this comes and goes at will. help .ck

Sounds like a short in the dash. Can you feel the transmission shift into failsafe, IE second gear?? If not I would focus on a short/broken wire in the dash or from the power panel under the hood to the dash.
