Hi:
My 95 Ford Taurus stalls at intersections, stop lights, etc...actually, anytime I apply the brakes. No problem with the idle as long as I keep it in neutral or park. When I brought it to the mechanic he told me 2 things were going on:The ignition module needed to be replaced and my transmission is about to konk out. I had the ignition module replaced because he told me it was the direct cause of it stalling. He also said he had no idea how long my transmission would hold up and right now there are no transmission fluid leaks ( which is a good sign ) 2 days after having the ignition module replaced the exact same thing happened. Stalled at all stops. This only happens though after its up to running speed. Never happens for the first 20 minutes or so of driving. Could this be a transmission problem? If not, I would like to keep it going for at least 2 more months before retiring it for good.
Thanks! Hope someone can help.
