Not sure what is going on. I have a 2002 F250 V10 that runs and idles fine. However, it is starting to act like it has a bad miss and the whole pickup shakes when this starts running rough. When I'm driving down smooth asphault sometimes it acts as if I'm crossing railroad tracks. This happens from 3 to 10 seconds...Why?

It has about 96,000 miles on it but it has never ran bad or left me walking. What is going on? Sometimes if feels as though the transmission is slipping when this is going one....

Thanks

Hi. Did you have your ignition coils checked? I had coils go bad on my 5.4, and my v10. My trucks acted the same way. They seemed to idle o.k, but when you get into the throttle the engine would miss like crazy, and the whole truck would shake. On the v10 the bad coil would fire sometimes and then quit. It seemed to run good, and then that coil would stop firing again, and the truck would start to miss. Hope this helps.

Thank you ziggy, that is exactly what it was...#10 cylinder's ignition coil.

Thanks again,

Olpapa

how did you have them checked - is it something i can do myself or does it have to be a dealer - it sounds exactly like what my truck is doing right now and it is really annoying plus i want to make it right
