My Brother bought the 2008 Escape with AWD and his gass mileage is bad around 14 MPG. Is anyone else getting this?

on our 06 we are getting 17 city/ hi-way mix

I've only filled my tank 3 times . But my 2008 Escape 4 cly is getting around 22 mpg in mostly town driving . I am very happy with that .

AWD? I have an 08 front wheel drive and get what your getting.... so you must have the same.

I'm on mile 3000 and I'm getting 23 plus per gallon(I do drive highway to work). I have the V6 AWD...I'm very happy...never was a Ford man but fell in love with the 2008 Escape...

i have an 08 four cylinder (6k miles) with kn air filter and get an honest 22-23 around town with light foot. I do very little hwy driving, just pick up the grandkids and haul them all over the place! My other ride is 85 Mustang GT-T-tops which I have gone through and is almost ready for the paint shop.
