I have a question about the alignment on our 02 Escape. We just had the shocks and struts replaced and now they (Shop) are telling us that we need to replace something in the rear of the vehicle for about $600 or else they won't be able to align it correctly? Is this the case or are they just trying to make another boat payment? The vehicle just turned 100k, and always taken care of, oil, tuneup, etc. and now this? Can anyone help with this before we agree to it. Thank you

If the tires were wearing perfectly before then they should wear fine now. The camber is not adjustable on the rear of an Escape from the factory. They may have been trying to sell you a shim kit that fits behind the brake backing plate (2WD only I believe).
