Just found a 289 special can someone tell me for sure what the difference in this engine is versus a regular 289 ? Will this engine except a three or four speed manual transmission? I realize this was not an engine put in Mustangs but would this be a good swap ? I have a 1966 with a inline six cylinder but want more horsepower !I have never until today heard of the 289 special. can this be easily rebuilt if needed or are there special items that will be needed ? And can someone tell me what horsepower this engine produces. Also any idea how may of these were manufactured? Looking for any help on this engine possible. Thanks in advance !

If you don't already own a Ford (or Ford owned product), get one.
