Wanna rebuild the carb on 1986 f-150, but they sell two kits. Store wants a number. How do I know what number? Can they just do it from the vin # ? Thank You. for any help

Ok, there should be a little metal tag hanging off one of the screws that hold the Carb. top cover on. If it aint there you got trouble , the other recourse you have is on the carb body there should be a casting # Some times not very often but sometimes the OLD GUYS at NAPA can match you up , good luck,,, if the tag aint there do some digging why 2 kits ??? maybe a break in production #, I know they made a light duty F150 , an a heavy duty F150, there seperated by the GVW, Cant recall of the top of my head something like 6100lbs , an the other was 6400lbs I think ??
