I just took my 2001 F250 v10 triton 6.8L crew cap longbed on a camping trip. I was pulling a 5000lb camp trailer and it just worked it to death. Is it really that much of a dog or is their something I can do to get the power needed and expected? I love the truck and want to keep it but it needs to be able to pull the load. Thanks, Steve

I have a 99-f250 v10 super duty. What kind of gear ratio do you have in your axel? I would suggest getting some kind of aftermarket work done. I have a chip, intake, and throttle body spacer, a cat back and I really made a difference. I tow a 13000-pound fifth wheel camper. The only time I have a problem is climbing big long hills. I go from 60 to 45 mph. The next thing I am going to do is put headers on soon to wake up the engine because the stock exhaust manifolds are very restrictive. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
