Hello, I just purchased a used 2002 ford focus ZTS.  I was told by the seller that a car fax was done on it and there was no accident results.  Come to find out there has been body work done on my car.   Is there anyone out there that can do a car fax for me?

Welcome to the site test123..

I've never been absolutely sold on Carfax, reason being, because damage/s that have been done and repaired be it to the body, chassis, or engine  and 'not' turned into insurance maynot show up in the report.. I've built/reconstructed VERY MANY  cars and trucks over the years and used to purchase them from the local dismanltler, or outright from people that couldn't afford the fix at a local shop and usually had no insurance.. And,, I've repaired quite a few vehicles for folks and friends that 'should' have been totalled or salvaged, or had to have extensive mechanical repairs done that I'm 'pretty sure' wouldn't have shown up on a Carfax ;)  Most times I only bought the ones with 'clean titles' and would move/sell them as a regular vehicle and the repairs were quality.. However,, there's really no such thing as invisible body work, and most times mechanical, and someone with a trained eye (IMO) would or should be  able to look your car over and tell whats been done.. Anything that's 'that hard' to see In my book, would be a quality repair and not much to worry about..Then there's warranty repairs.. It's pretty easy to tell if body panels have been repaired/replaced, or the paint texture and/or color match isn't OEM or spot on.. Or if the engine has been replaced, or even most times if it's been pulled apart.. I think a Carfax is good first step, but certainly doesn't give the car a good personal look over..

I don't have a carfax account, but thought I would say Welcome to the site. Hayapower is correct though about carfax, it may not have all the info as far as damage. The owner could have or even the previous owner could have repaired it on their own.
