just had a quick question. i have a 2001 ford p71 with 085000 on it. the stock am/fm stereo doesnt pick up but 2 stations. i checked the antenna coax to stereo and its tight, traced cable going into under the rear deck and its hanging there but no place where it hooks up. i know the antenna is in the window with the rear defrost but there has to be a preamp of some sort but cant locate it. i used to have a 96 p71 before this car and remember seeing a silver box under the back window under the rear deck but cant find one in this car, or even where it might have been at one time. any help anyone?

also, about my stereo problem, i did pigtail the existing hanging coax and hooked it to a trunk lip antenna that is for am/fm stereo and still doesnt pick up unless you are within 3 miles of the tower site. so it must be missing a preamp module to boost the ears on this stock stereo. still would like any suggestions??
