My o/d light has flashed a few times in the past.
I have been pulling over, shut down and restart to clear the problem.
This works for a while, then re-occurrs.

I think it may be the vehicle speed sensor because the truck runs fine and this happens so infrequently.

Where is the speed sensor on a 2002?

Is it a magnetic device also?

Thansk for any responses.

With an electronic controlled trans there is more than one possibly..  Should have the trouble code read if at all possible.. Some of the  parts vendors will read the code at no cost.. It would help with some direction, and keep from replacing unneeded parts..

Thanks Hayapower, I was under the impression that the lights must remain on before you could get a code reading.
I will head to a part vendor and obtain a code if possible.

Not necessarily, some errors are stored so when you check it could be there.
