Ge..ntelmen,
   I'll tell you what i tell the boys at my local auto store, when I need washer fluid....... I have a 2000 Ranger 4.0 4WD. I was Installing XM radio and i needed to disconnect the Pass airbag switch.  (Did this thiis whit the Battery Connected, Shame on me). once i did this and connected it back the light stays on now. when i start the truck the light flashes a dozen or so times then stays lit.  what have i done...............

your probably going to have to get it cleared with a scanner

Count out the lamp flashes..

It'll count out an LFC (light flash code) into a series of flashes.. Like 2 flashes, 'pause' and 5 more for a code 25.. Since you disconnected the passenger switch, when you start the truck, look at the PAD switch lamp (passenger air deactivation) and the PAD lamp should be 'on' along with the SRS lamp in the instument panel as the system proves out during the startup..

I know on the mistang if the power source for the Airbag system is off for more than 30 min it will give a code off saying that it had lost power. Have to ahve it cleared. Not sure how it is done on the rangers. on a mustang you had to short out a connector on the passengers side.
