my girlfriend just bought a 92 ford tempo 4 door v6 for 500$ with 50,000 miles on it for the simple fact the guy couldnt figure out what was wrong with the windows....its got power windows and locks but none of the doors have working locks or window besides the rear drivers door (lock and window works)...someone said the chance of the windows all going out were slim and it could be just the master switch...well i bought a new one and replaced it and the rear drivers door is still the only working one

HELP!!!

Not to be a pain - but any of the switches could be failing or grounding out. Sometimes window seal leaks will drain into the switches causing failure (sometimes repeated failure). If doors with manual widers were offered - switch them in for half the troubles. The wiring can also break at the hinging area - test for low conductivity or switch problems and half the work is done at least. Then look at the window and door lock motors - I've had them freeze up. Some can be repaired (if you're really good). Either way for $500 it went cheap for a reason.

I''ve got partially the same problem.  Both of my rear windows in my 94 work.  No locks or front windows...  I took the driver''s side door panel apart and the switch too.  I checked the switch with a multi-meter (continuity) and it is fine.  I plugged it back up and it gets good power.  I then pulled out the speaker and unplugged the motor... no continuity and nothing with I gave it 12 volts.  I want to spray it with some good old WD-40 so I will do that soon.  If that doesn''t work I will TRY to take it out and give it some juice again.  GL!
