A couple times this week my 03 F250 6.0 Diesel has not wanted to start.  I cranked the motor and it tries to turn over for awhile.  I back off and go right back to cranking and it will start.  The first time it did this I had to give it a touch of fuel with the pedal and it started up on the third try.

Is this a sign my plugs are going bad or something else?

sorry if i sound rud but it does not have plugs if it is a diesel 6.0 / the 03 6.0s are junk they have more problems then you would thank 03 was the first year for the 6.0 and it was a bad idel the short block is strong it's every thing that makes it run that goes bad / that is why ford stop in 07 and now has the 6.4 do some checking and you will see

Your truck does have plug''s but there not spark plug''s there a glow plug too heat the air coming into the cylinder, there is a light on the dash that will come on that say''s either wait too start or a little coil looking light are you waiting for those too go out? if not then wait for those lights too go out before trying too start, if that is not it then it''s a good chance that your glow plug relay is bad or your glow plug''s them self''s, the 6.0 power stroke was not the best motor for sure but the reason they stopped using that engine and went too the 6.4 is because of tougher emission standard''s in 2007
