Has anyone heard any updates about the new bronco that has been scheduled for release? I also heard that they would be releasing a two door expedition. And if they are releasing both whats the difference. All i have to work with is the pics i have attatched and i heard that the bronco will have possibly a 2.0L turbo diesel with a six six speed paddle shifter on the wheel. but thats just heresay, anyone got anymore?

That was a concept vehicle from a few years back. I wasnt aware they were going to start making it.
Id rathar see Ford make a short wheelbase, 2-door version of the Expedition and call it the Bronco.
hockethitman, the Taurus hasnt been popular for about 8 years. In terms of sales it is # 3 behind the Camry and the Accord.

Always liked the bronco, thought it was a nice little truck...personally I don't like the lines on that concept model...but maybe that's why it's not in production, come to think of it, it looks a little like the H3...anyways, there are enough gas guzzlers out there w/o adding another one...

Yeah, I would have to say that is one ugly bronco. When I first saw the pics, my thought is that it looked alot like that Mercede SUV they have.

I like the idea of coming out w. the new Bronco...the production version would probably look a bit different, but hopefully still a really bold look...its just what Ford needs...can't make simple, pretty cars and trucks forever...stand-out style sells these days

Only problem, they were at Wal-Mart, about 14" long, and radio-controlled (in the toy department)

Enjoy those pictures boys, cause thats all that they are. They won`t produce the Bronco, even though they should. There were talks of making it, but the high gods decide not to.

I understand the financial deficit Ford Motor Company, and the other two members of the Big Three, have put themselves in, and that niche projects such as a Bronco may not be a priority. I still think this car is one of the coolest and wildest retro vehicles I have ever seen. I am a huge nostalgia car fan, and the resemblence of this concept to the original Bronco is astonishing. This car would be a great addition to the Ford lineup. As far as it being a gas guzzler, I think not. While the nature of an SUV isn't so efficient, if the car were based on the likes of an Escape platform, the bulk of the vehicles would be equipped with more fuel efficient powertrains. Nostalgia car nuts, like myself, would almost demand a V8 to pay homage to the original Bronco Sport, but that would be like a Mustang GT in comparison to the standard Mustang. I think the project, if generated in a limited quantity to suit such a niche, could be a great success and aid in drawing new interest and positive attention to the brand.
