So our explorer does not start correctly, theres this horrible sound when we try to start it anytime its set for even 10 minutes. After i have it started i can immediately turn it off and back on and it will start fine.

I was thinking that it was a starter problem because previously i sprayed it with WD-40 and the problem stopped temporarily. I took this vid of it for help purposes, and was hoping someone could tell me if im on the right path as well as a place i could take it to get fixed and what kinda price im looking at.

Sounds like a dieing starter.. Try not using it like that for any extended time or it can quickly destroy the flexplate (flywheel)  if it hasn't already.. 4.0 starter is about 120.00, 5.0 is about 150ish.. Sounded like a 4.0.. If your going to do the work yourself, turn the flexplate by hand through the starter hole and look at all the teeth on the ring gear to make sure there not damaged.. Not only will it give you piece of mind as to the ring gears condition given the noise, but is crucial for good starter life.. A shop shouldn't charge more than about hour or so for the replacement..
