I have a 1998 Ford Explorer. Recently the headlights stopped operating. I checked all the fuses and nothing. I even purchased a light detector and it shows there is power going to the lights. The only way I'm able to use my lights at night, is if I pull the dimmer switch forward and hold them as I'm driving. This can be very dangerous as you know. I'm thinking I need to replace my dimmer switch but I have no clue how to do so. I'm hoping it's an easy fix, something I can do at home rather than take it to a mechanic or the dealership and be charged for the labor. Please help. I guess my question is: HOW DO I REPLACE THE DIMMER SWITCH? Is there a "free" manual available online that I can view that will give me a step by step?
