I sold my 1999 F-250 4x4 with a v-10 a few months ago. IMO this is a great engine. I had a little over 250,000 miles with no issues. I always used syth oils and changed reg. The engine has plenty of torch and power. The drawbacks are 9 mpg on average. However with Deisel as high as it is the v-10 is starting to look better. I pulled a 5th wheel all over the western states and Mexico.

I agree Plenty of power knida miss it over the 5.4. Draw back is I had to replace 3 engines in 3 years . They are GREAT at throwing rods. @ 5k a pop ,I sold it as soon as the last engine was installed.
Wont miss that bill.

I currently own a v10 and i love it. I tow a 13895 pound trailer and average between 7 to 10 miles pergallon.

I''ve got a 2000 F-250 Lariat crew cab 4x4 with the V-10 and automatic trans.  I really like it.  The only problem I''ve had is it spit out a spark plug.  A tad spendy to buy the kit to fix it, but it''s worth it.  I''m getting about 13 mpg with it.  It hauls my 4 wheeler, canoe and travel trailer with no problems.
