Hello from across the great pond.  My name is Tom and I am currently in Korea working for the US Gov''t.  I have a little problem here in Korea.  I own a old Ford Windstar, 1995.  The AC stopped working.  It blows hot air.  I took it over to the local shop and they said that this one part is bad and that I need to order one.  Well...no one knew what the part number was or even what it was called.  Can anyone tell me what this is and what the part number is?  Appreciate your help.

Thanks!

Don''t have a part number, but it is the A/C CLUTCH CYCLING PRESSURE SWITCH.

No problem.  That''s why we''re here when we can.  part normally runs about $15-20 here, so that should give you a ball-park figure for your location.

The Ford Dealer in Korea wanted 75,000 won, which is roughly $73.  I went online and ordered one for $21.  Thanks again!

When you get the new one, you should be able to just unscrew the old one and install the new one with no loss of freon.  It''s just a pressure switch that screws onto a schrader valve.  You might get just a little ''phfitt" from the system.
