Can the 2nd row captain''s chairs on an 04 freestar be swapped out for the bench seat?
we have a 3rd child on the way and want to have all 3 in the 2nd row, which obviously can''t be done with the 2 captains chairs we have. Any suggestions?

The 2nd row BENCH seat is smaller than the rear seat as it is a 2 passenger only seat also.  It is designed to allow passenger access to the rear seat.

The only thing that I could suggest would be to take measurements from the rear seat of a Windstar to see if the bracket would line up with the 2nd row brackets and actually lock into place.  You may need to do a little fabricating to make it would, but would give you the 3 seat position with seat belts.
