Hi everybody,

I''m new here and we desesperatly need some help.

We have an E-150 1999 and the motor gives his last breath past 2 months. So we bought another motor from a car scrapyard asking them a E-150 1999 4.2L 6 cyl. motor but they gaves us a F-150 2000 4.2L 6cyl. motor and we found that out after this motor was all bolted and installed under the hood. Connectors were not at the same place as we took the blown motor away with the intake throttle body and put the new with his throttle body. So after putting back the old throttle body to have sensors connectors in the right places, connected them all right, the motor start and idle very well. But when we tried to give him some gaz, it doesn''t rev right (rotting) and when we engage the auto tranny in gear, it doesn''t have enough power to make the truck moves more than a couple of feets and tend to die. Also, it doesn''t want to shift gear but this is not our main problem.

We got every wiring plans for both motors and we try to figure out what goes wrong without success. EVERYTHING seems to be in it''s place.

Can someone please help us?? As I said, we have all plans for both motors so if you need''em, there are all in details and in colours.

Thanks,
Phil

NO EXPERT BUT.    If your engine idles up fine while in nuetral and only has problems while in gear then you have a torque converter problem or a transmission problem. also check the rear end and the brakes. and Bad plug wires.
