have a 2003 taurus. a/c comes from defoster only. works great, but just won''t come through vents. also, no matter what i turn temp to, it stays on cold. need help, its about a million degrees here and its wifes car and i''m getting tired of sleeping on the couch.

The air coming from the defroster only is more than likely a vacuum leak somewhere in the system. The temperature staying on one setting, may be the blend door actuator. It is located under the dash on top of the center hump. It is a white plastic box that is about 4 inches square. You can see the linkage to it. Try moving the linkage by hand to see if the temperature changes. If it does, the actuator needs repalced.
