I recently bought a new stereo from Crutchfield.  They sent me everything( instructions, mounting plate, etc.)  I followed the instructions to a T.  I unhooked the negative battery cable.  I installed to stereo.  I hooked the negative battery cable back up.  I turned on the ignition and everything worked fine.  I have noticed in the past that when I have unhooked the battery that the instrument panel goes crazy.  No problem there yet.  I came back a few minutes later and tried to listen to the radio. Nothing No radio.  I tried to start the ignition and the instrument panel goes crazy.  The engine started fine but still no radio.  I turned off the ignition, got out and tried to lock the doors with the keyless entry device (no luck there.)  I open the door back and tried to press the door lock button on the panel (still no luck.)  I had to lock the doors manually.  If I have the ignition running the door lock button on the panel works fine.  Now everytime when I start the ignition I get the instrument panel going crazy thing.  I put the old factory radio back in and it doesn''t work either.  I would appreciate any kind of help.
