have a 2002 F150 and son far away,1st yr college. says its making a squeaking noise at low speeds only when he makes turns, either way, or sometimes when he goes over bumps. any ideas? HATE to just send him to someone that will rip a kid off, and wonder if you have ideas? if not, i am going to make a drive, bring it back to my local mechanic. THANKS

my kids 01 was doing something like that ,
it was the tail gate.
shoot some white grease in the hinges at the bottom see if that helps.
it was driving him nuts.

Problem description sounds like normal F-150 ball-joint issue.  These will squeek when bouncing or turning when they are worn.  Cheaper to buy the units after market and repalce all at the same time since they would be out to do just one.
