Man I love these forums. New on this one but have been using one for an old Saab I have and have gotten lots of good info. Just got a call from the wife that my 2002 Expedition with only 60,000 miles on it is stuck in park. She can move the shifter lever but says it is like nothing there. Just happened out of nowhere as we weren,t having any trouble with it. Linkage problem I assume but has anyone had this happen and is it a shade-tree mech. type of fix? I'm at work so I haven't looked at it yet. Any help greatly appreciated.

Hey man I have never done this job on my 99 Expedition. However I have a Haynes manual and it has never let me down. I am by far not a mechanic nor a shade tree mechanic but I have been able to successfully complete many repairs to my truck. Well man good luck and sorry that I was unable to assist you anymore. However I will keep looking.
