my reverse lights arent working replaced the bulbs but still nothing any suggestions i have a 99 ford ranger 2.5l

I have the exact same Ranger (is it XLT? manual trans?). Do you have a Hayne''s/Chilton manual? I''m looking at mine, and the only things that could fail, short of a frayed wire, are the fuse, bulb, and backup lamp switch. I would say check the fuse (it''s fuse #26, behind the panel by the driver side door). I don''t know how you would check the backup lamp switch.

Please check the fuse. brake switch and wires. make sure if everything properly installed.
