help me if you can. I''m trying to track down my first car. i''m only 23, and i got rid of it when i was maybe 18...so hopefully it hasnt gotten too far away from me. it was a green ford elite. 1975. most beautiful car i''d ever seen. drove it for a few months and the engine blew up. sold it for almost nothing just to get it out of my mom''s front yard. then realised how insanely rare these cars are and spent the last few years finding another one. i have a 76 now, and i love it. but you know how it is.... i want my baby back.
the VIN is  5G21H109590
if by any chance anyone out there knows anything about this car ,please e mail me or call me. my name''s daniel. the number is 615-517-0380. thanks a lot!
and if you know where another Elite is for sale, let me know that too. i''m obsessed like that .

The Elite ran for three years and was very individual for each year. My first was a ''75 also. Very excellent car. Never much trouble. I ended up in a tangle with it and the body was trashed so I sold the engine and transmission and let the car go. My next was a ''76. Not as peppy as the ''75, but one new item inside. My "friend" at the time wanted to take it for a test drive - which ended up in a beer run and a police chase where I was the dangling passenger. We lost the cops they blamed me and I ended up paying the fine ''cause my "buddy" took off and refused to help split the fine after he made it. Anyhow, I was upset and sold the engine/trans. from that one too and let her go. Meanwhile my mother owns a brown w/tan interior 1974 Ford Grand Torino Elite. The first year for Elite. I went over a ''73 351 engine I got for it and added a main girdle, special pushrods, roller rocker arms, special valves, and a custom machined (to my spec''s) rocker arm girdle that uses the Ford standard 5/16 inch (I believe I recall correctly) rocker studs in addition to the all new bearings, lifters, cam and reground crank (absolute minimum grind). The engine is topped with an Edelbrock RPM Air Gap intake and a 1960''s 4100 4 barrel carburetor. The motor screams and Mom has bills to pay so if you have time and want a decent project she might let it go for $16,000 or might negotiate a cash and other car trade so she can pay the bills, yet drive to the grocery store. Also, the 351 in the ''74 is coupled to a C-6 transmission. My ''75 and ''76 used the C-4 so this may or may not be original however it was in the car when my father had purchased it. If you have any interest I would be happy to send pictures of the car. It was garaged for the past 10 years and driven rarely. I would wait through the many years to inherit it if my mother wasn''t in dire need of cash - but you can''t win ''em all. I do (also) know where some Elites exist in a salvage yard or two. I recall purple, black, and brown ones. Sadly (years ago) I remember a white on white one also however it went to the crusher when the government started paying yards to scrap ''em to the recycler.
