I have a 2000 Escort ZX2. It has appoximately 133,000 miles on it. I drove it to school the other day and when I returned after class to go home. It wouldn''t start. It would turn over but not start. My wipers, headlights, radio, and interior lights work properly. So I went ahead and looked through my Haynes repair manual in the trouble shooting section. Well I went ahead and replaced the spark plugs, the spark plugs wires were replaced a little while ago by me, checked the fuel line right after the gas goes through the pump and it worked fine. So I know it''s not the pump. I don''t believe it can be the starter becuase it turns over. All of my wires are hooked up properly from what I can tell. I have run out of ideas on what it could be. If you have any ideas can you please let me know asap before I take it to the mechanic and pay an arm and a leg just for him to look at it.
