In May, I had the rear brakes replaced, (drums & shoes, not disc/pads) by someone who has a legitimate garage at his house. There was a "knocking" sound when I slowed down...he replaced the drum x 2, saying it was a defective drum. Brought it back AGAIN..This time, he said it was defective shoes, and just replaced those. Now, I have a worse problem. I will be driving, sounds like there are "branches banging around, like they are stuck...when I hear that sound, and I apply the brake, the pedal is "choppy", and it grinds"....Has anyone had any experience with rear brake issues? I suppose I will have to take it to the dealership and shell out more $, but I don''t want to have to go back to him, even though he''s a nice guy, because I fear it will never be corrected. Of note, did not have problem prior to initial visit.
