I have a 2002 Escape which is having an intermittent NO START problem. Nothing happens when I try to start the ignition. No noise, but all lights and assecories work. It happens once in a while, and if I let it sit for approx 1 hr, it starts up fine and no more starting problems for several weeks.
The THEFT light flashes every 2 seconds before putting in the key. When I turn the key to ign on, the THEFT light goes out after a few seconds. When I try to start, nothing happens. It seems as though my anti-theft system is still on, but the light indicator is OFF ??

Could this be a PCM problem ??
