Hello,
Obviously I am new here and hoping to get some help. I was driving in my ''03 Taurus SE for about 50 miles down the highway, got off to get some gas, got back on the highway, and as soon as I started to accelerate a light was flashing. I finished out my drive and when I got off of the highway it didn''t make any noises. I checked the manual and it said it was the transaxle and it should be taken to the shop immediately. Four months after I purchased this car in 3/05, the transmission had to be replaced in it already (don''t know if that means anything relevant to this problem, but figured I would throw that in there). I was skeptical of the car actually working well enough for me to get home but I turned it on and there was no light flashing and if worked fine. The car only has 60K on it. The light flashing was about a week ago and has not come back on. So I was wondering if I should still have it looked at? I would appreciate any help or insight on this situation.
