I have a 92 F150 w/ 302, 6" lift and 35 wides. I just had installed 4.88 gears to compensate for the lack of power but it still doesn''t have any (no different than with stock gears). I have had the entire exhaust changed and new plugs and wires. Can anyone figure out why there isn''t any power?

Have you done a compression test, scanned codes, checked timing?
Also when you say new exhaust, were the cats done as well?

Compression is good, Codes are good, timing is good and I changed the exhaust from new headers all the way back to the pipes. I was told that my 302 and the tranny are too weak and there is no hope. Anyone want to buy a truck?

Anyone know roughly how much it would cost to upgrade to a 351 or 400. I was estimating about 4k with a new tranny, exhaust, intake ect... I also have heard that the 92 model is the hardest to upgrade.
