I am having the same problem with the gear not engaging at around 35-45 mph. I also had a problem 800 miles from home. Just driving along at about 50 mph and got an alarm of a low tire. After stopping, the car would no longer shift out of high gear. After two weeks, two airline tickets and two Ford dealers, I got my car back. I have filed an out of pocket expense claim of $1200 with Ford and waiting for a response. I have had a lot of Ford products in the past and have been satisifed with all of them. I think there is an inherent problem with this car and hope Ford will resolve the issue soon.
