Hi,

I just bought a 2005 Ford Five Hundred. It''s the SEL model. It has a lot of options like power moonroof, 17" rims, leather, 6 disc cd, and more.

BUT, I don''t know if it''s AWD or FWD and I don''t know if I have the CVT tranny or the 6spd automatic.

I didn''t see a tranny fluid dipstick but then today while draining the oil I did notice a little 3" stem where the tranny is that is accessible from the bottom.

When I accelerate it shifts perfectly smooth but I do see fluctuation in the tachometer so does that mean it''s going through gears and I therefore have the 6 speed and not the CVT?

How do I know if I have the AWD or not?

Since I only paid $4000 for the car, I didn''t really ask these questions. They slipped my mind.
